Delightful hillwalking and conservation areas on the doorstep of Edinburgh....Flotterstone road is a lovely walk to 2 reservoirs, Swanson Village is THE most delightful place in all Edinburgh city limits, on the slopes of Caerketton and Allermuir.

Each reservoir is so different in my opinion and I loved them all. I went on 3 separate occasions. Glencorse is so clear and reflects the Pentland hills amazingly. Threipmuir is fantastic for a summer evening swim, I did it at sunset it was incredible....More

Today we covered nearly 20 miles from baler no unto and over the East and West Kip then Scald law before continuing up and over Carnethy and Turnhouse Hill and then walking back to calder road via Bonaly and Colinton village. fabulous day out walking

Only information centre is closed. As it a park, there's no opening times as such - you can come and enjoy paths and hills whenever you like :) Restaurant-pub near by is open 7days as well.
