When you first arrive you have two options. Option one, take the path that goes to the right of the waterfall as you look at it. This leads up the side of a mountain along quite a narrow path. The advantage of this path is...More

It was a longish drive with nothing else in the vicinity. Once we got there, it was a strenuous hike on almost no real path to get a good view of the waterfall. If you have any mobility issues, stay away.

Very challanging up hill walk but the lovely lake at the top make it worthwhile. Waterfall is lovely as are the views. Felt the carpark was a let down though. It cost £3 to park in the middle of no where but there was no...More

Well worth the walk. Goats and sheep everywhere. Definitely understand why it's a must see. The drive from Moffat to the waterfall has breathtaking scenery.

This is a stunning waterfall that can be loud and fierce or much more gentle, obviously at different times of the year. We used to tell the children lots of stories about it and it still enchants me after 40 years. Worth going if you...More

Beautiful but challenging hike but worth the effort. Located about 10 miles from Moffat. Lots of parking but there is a fee for parking.

Its a pretty heavy 1 hour walk up the side of the waterfall to the loch but definitely worth it. The scenery is absolutely stunning the entire way. The waterfall itself is only half of it, with the peaceful Loch being the icing on the...More

For hundreds of years my family have visited here by foot or by car. To get to the top is so very worth the climb. A beauty to behold. If your lucky you also get the RAF Fighter jets come through at eye level and...More

Four of us made the hike up to Loch Skeen, two adults and two children aged 15 an 12. It is a pretty hard trek up but you are rewarded at the top by the loch. We got up there and had the loch to...More

Don't be put off by the accent of the walk. It is worth the climb of steps. Must take care of the foot ware as the steps are uneven.

Absolutely stunning waterfall ... quite a strenuous walk in places but well worth it . I would give yourselves 2-3 hours to reach the Loch and time to take in the views
