An interesting centre for knowledge on Kbt Artists with video screening the story of Kirkcudbright Artists currently being updated. John Paul Jones jail cell might be a good idea but alas no!

Visited with family ... Lovely staff. Art exhibition for local students. An informative audio visual as to why Kirkudbright became known as the Artists How. Well worth a visit.

The history and architecture of this building overpower the artistry inside. We were here on a day right before an art festival. We were told there might be an exhibit on the middle floor to see. That was the welcome. We found our way through....More

The Art Centre tells the story of the artists who settled in Kirkcudbright last century. There are DVDs about them and it is very interesting. You can only wonder why Jessie M King, E A Taylor and E A Hornel are not better known. There...More

There was an exhibition on of local artists' work when we visited. Nice bright gallery. Coffee shop was good - very heavy wooden chairs! The receptionist was informative about other things to see.
