A new gallery showcasing the best of the regions historic art and hosting national touring exhibitions. The architect designed conversion of Kirkcudbright Town Hall opened in June 2018 to great acclaim. Visit and enjoy a year-round exhibition on the fabulous Kirkcudbright Artists' including works by Hornel, King, Peploe and Taylor among many others. Whilst family from the USA were visiting us, we all went to the new Galleries. All of us, including the two teenagers were gobsmacked! It is simply beautiful, beautiful use of space and walls, really every part of the building. Who knew such a spectacular...More

This new gallery in the "artists' town" highlights local painters as well as hosting travelling exhibitions. Just seen the world famous 'Monarch of the Glen'.
