It's an Excellent Museum i can't praise it enough .There is so much to see and it's very interesting .The work that the volunteers do is amazing .The staff are so friendly and helpful . I recommend it very highly . Well worth a visit.

Superb displays illustrating the history of the airfield & its role during WW2. Highlight is the restored Loch Doon Spitfire, which in itself makes the visit worthwhile! The volunteers who staff this attraction are to be congratulated on their efforts.More

Stopped on my way to Blackpool Airport for look around this Air Museum, lots of good vintage aircraft and displays, Visited the new Hanger with the Doon Loch Spitfire which has been completely restored, this is a must see exhibit for all aircraft buffs alike....More

There’s a surprising amount to see at the museum, and the restored spitfire is a real highlight. The kids and I spent a very happy couple of hours looking around. The volunteers running the place were friendly and informative. Well worth a visitMore

I was at this museum last week. It is an interesting place that is run by volunteers who are very friendly and knowledgeable. It can be a bit chilly in cold weather so go suitably attired if the weather is bad.More

Has a fab visit with my 14 year old and 4 year old today, we loved all the history and story's we read as well as the fantastic displays... Staff were lovely and we were surprised at how reasonable the gift shop was xxxxMore

Very interesting museum with a combination of planes and exhibits of wartime events. Lots of local history and we enjoyed watching the video of the Spitfire story.More

Hi. I am afraid that we do not have a cafe. We do sell teas/coffees and have biscuits and tray bakes on offer, but to call it a cafe would be to stretch the imagination a little far. Kindest regards Charlie
