When you consider that most of the roads around here are very scenic, the fact that The Raiders Road merits special mention speaks volumes. It is what I would call a rough gravel road, but it is in very good condition and suitable for all...More
We went one night after work and loved it. We stopped at the first loch with the old stone bridge. You can also walk up onto the bridge for more stunning views. We then carried on around to the otter pools which were 100% worth...More

I recently travelled down the road and I would say it was more than suitable for a transit van. The road is a single track with passing points but is wide enough for a transit type van. The road is mainly gravel track but is well compacted and wasn't too bumpy considering. It worth the drive to get to the otter pool. Enjoy!
