Son was very keen to visit as it had been years since we last went and he happily looked at naval officers uniforms, weapons and old photographs and also asked questions. Small museum but absolutely packed with interesting facts.

It's only a small museum but worth popping in to to get a better feel for Oban's fascinating history. Transport enthusiasts are well catered for with some interesting road and rail exhibits. And did you know they had Catalina flying boats in Oban Bay? I...More

A small museum packed with wartime and railway memorabilia. Free entry (donations accepted.) Staffed by knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers. I learnt some very interesting things about the area. A fifteen minute video on loop serves as a good introduction to a holiday in Oban.

This a 3 room free war museum with a lot of history packed into it. A lot is naval, not surprisingly given the location. Well worth a 30 minute visit. Downtown Oban.

The museum is quite small, but fits in a good collection of artefacts that reflect the name of the museum. There are plenty of old photographs, and there is also a short film shown on loop in the rear room.
