Sadly , no longer there , the miniature railway has relocated to Cleethorpes , a sad day for Arbroath , been here since 1936 with thousands of kids who have ridden on the miniature railway with loving memories of what was a beautiful attraction to Arbroath

The railway has now closed for good but they gave it a great send off with a Grand Finale event. There were visiting locomotives, vintage vehicles and the sun came out. There were old buses, classic cars, steam and diesel locomotives and the volunteers were so friendly. A fitting goodbye to a historic attraction

I had always wanted to take my daughter once she was old enough to enjoy riding on the train and sadly, this first visit would be our last as that day would see the final train journey as the attraction would close good. A short walk from the car park, the minature railway is situated not far from a fun and well-kept playpark. One of the things I loved was the minature buses and fire engine which are set aside for visiting children to play in and get cute photos with. The railway itself is very cute with the main train in use being the minature steam engine which was a hit with visitors; young and old. It was honestly so much fun to watch it chug along the rails and back while seeing the passengers smile with glee as they were taken on a little adventure. Honestly, the atmosphere was a mixture of nostalgia and wonder among the visitors! Our little journey was brilliant; the seating was comfortable for all ages and sizes which explains why so many people paid to be passengers for the day. The track is so well kept with greenery at the side of the tracks and additional features such as a tunnel and another station at the opposite end making it somewhat realistic. The views on the short trip are also quite lovely, especially on a sunny day. Honestly, it was the best £2.50 p.p. I've spent. Honestly, it was such a nice experience to share with my daughter who had just become the age to enjoy the ride just once. I am honestly saddened that the minature railway has now closed for good as it is such a lovely attraction that perhaps many took for granted but, despite this being the end, I think Kerr's Minature Railway will remain in the hearts of all lucky enough to have visited this fun attraction.
