In a nondescript roundabout far from the centre of Aberdeen is this statue of Queen Victoria. The queen is depicted as a middle-aged woman and is wearing her crown while the imperial regalia is held in her two hands. In some ways, this roundabout is a bizarre place to locate the statue instead of alongside the many statues and monuments around Union Terrace Gardens.

This is just a rather plain statue in the middle of a busy roundabout. It isn't worth going out of your way to see.

Went past today after looking at other statue. Needs a clean and you cannot get too close to it either.

Just a statue of a short plump woman. Located in the center of, arguably, the worst / most dangerous roundabout junction in Aberdeen

The statue used to be a meeting point back at the turn of the 19th century, when the only traffic was horse and carts, trams and bicycles. It was commissioned to mark Victoria's Jubilee in 1897 and was originally sited on St Nicholas Street where there was a turning circle for the trams, and you can still see the road markings for the circle on Google maps.

Why would they put a statue on a roundabout? It’s super weird. I don’t think she would approve. The design isn’t my cup of tea.

In a rather awkward place and looks like it’s seen better days. I really don’t think she would approve!

Queen Victoria's statue resides at as you would expect Queens Cross in Aberdeen on a very busy traffic roundabout where 5 road junctions come together.
Usually decorated by the students during the Torcher Parade.

A nice statue in the West End. It is not really the best but quite plain to be honest. In the middle of the roundabout making it hard to see.
