The museum is closed, the council did not renew the lease. The library is still there, you can park for free and go in and sit down and have a lovely read of books, newspapers etc. There is a toilet that is wheelchair accessible but...More

Went there and found it closed two weeks ago. Artifacts were taken to the City Museum, I believe. We were really Disappointed, as it sounded interesting.

Above the waterside library is this hidden gem. Brilliant 20 minute tour given by Laura offered loads of insight, history and social info. Do not miss this - it is half an hour brilliantly spent and there was no charge! Can't believe I didn't know...More

As this is not the type of thing i would not normally visit this was surprisingly good whilst being a little spooky in the corridor,would like to mention that the staff are great especially Heather who is so enthusiastic about the place.
