Very nice walkway beside the water from the Quoile Countryside Centre, and Quoile Castle ,to Steamboat Quay, where boats brought in Timber from Baltic and Canadian Ports from around 1835. This is also "Game of Thrones " territory in more recent times.

Stunning waterway just before downpatrick perfect in the summer for a picnic with tables available to sit on and a great stop in the winter for a coffee if out on the bike.

There are stunning views from the Castle Island hide. With the Mountains of Mourne as a backdrop, the views are almost coincidental - but that is not the case, there are many species to be seen here.

I visit the Quoile regularly as it's a great place to walk the dog. You might manage to catch the swans in flight as they skim along the water but they aren't exactly on a schedule... Regardless it's a great walk. If it's been raining...More

The Quoile is a beautiful lake side walk - incredibly peaceful with amazing views. Swans, ducks and dog walkers will join you otherwise this is a great place to get away from it all.

Visited here as part of a game of thrones tour and was fascinated by a) how they used CGI to make it look as it did on TV, but b) how calm and peaceful the water is. Plenty of places to walk around and relax...More
