Visited with a booked party trip to Castleward's December Georgian Christmas ''upstairs ''this year. Extravagant Christmas feast on display, cast in fabulous period costumes and choral accompaniment. Interesting insight into how 5thViscount of Bangor would have celebrated Christmas. Another opportunity to view Mary Wards watercolour...More

The Castle Ward grounds are amazing (Winterfell in GoT). We spent time doing the Game of Thrones archery session. Will (the archery Master of Arms) spent a lot of time teaching us how to use a bow and arrow. We got to dress in GoT...More

We traveled here as part of a Game of Thrones tour. It is lovely estate and while walking the grounds we saw seals in the harbor.

We used Castle Ward as parking base for walking part of the Lecale Way. We wandered the grounds and along the shoreline, up to Audley's Castle. Stunning place and stayed longer than intended. Walked to Strangford, took the ferry to Portaferry and then it was...More

This was not a religious pilgrimage, but a cultural one for our son, a university student and a HUGE Game of Thrones fan. Castleward House was closed for the winter season, but the grounds and the tea shop were open. We had the place, nearly,...More

Beautiful gardens and walking paths throughout the property. The kids loved playing in the grass and between the trees. The castle is a nice place to explore and there are also bikes to rent.

It is entirely possible, to do,just a short tour of The GoT attractions without eating into a whole chunk of your visit. They are all fairly close to each other.
