This tiny, red-brick two-up-two-down terrace house, in east Belfast, is the Holy Grail for Van fans. It's not so easy to get there by driving, as parking is not easy on the very narrow street - so it's better to take a taxi and tour...More

Living in Belfast I've never really thought of this as a big tourist attraction. It's just a little terreced house in the Bloomfield area of East Belfast with a plaque outside to say he once lived there.

Sure, it's a normal little rowhouse on a normal little street with a little brass plaque- either it doesn't matter to you at all or it's hallowed ground. Myself? It was a special moment.

It is literally just a plaque on some person's front porch, but it's still kinda cool. If you have a rental car, GPS, and 15 minutes to spare it's kinda cool to drop by and take a picture.

Heard his music, always been a great fan, missed him perform in Cyprus Avenue, so went to see where it all began. Nice brass plaque to commemorate it.

I was relieved that it's not a tourist stop. Just a house, probably still very much like it was in Van's day

Being a Van Morrison fan and visiting Belfast, this is a must. As you stroll along the street (in the middle of the road, even in 2015), you can feel the atmosphere of his childhood. Listen to "On Hyndford Street" on your ipod, phone or...More

A little brass plaque for a big local legend. To any fan of Van Morrison and any music lover this is a must to see. I have just been there today and am glad to have done so.
