It’s a big fish statue near the Lagan river. Don’t need to go there as there is nothing much to see unless you are on the way to the Titanic Quarters which is across the river or walk towards the city to the swinging Albert...More

Cool to see, in the statue family. Not much you can do other than take a photo or two. we saw it on the walk back from the Titanic Museum.

This is really different - a fish covered in pictures depicting the life and history of Belfast. Take the time to go and see it if you are in the Cathedral quarter.

The salmon have returned to Belfast thanks to efforts be the city to clean the water. The area is beautiful for waking. This fish is a short walk from the Titanic Belfast.

I marked this in our plans as we were going to be in the area anyway. Its a very cool statue. A local guy stopped us to explain it commemorates the first fish which returned to the Liffey after the city council cleaned the water....More

On the water front your will find the salmon of knowledge. The big fish is made of different pictures of the past and present . Easily found and free to see

This monument is found on the regenerated Belfast waterfront near the new footbridge and can be enjoyed on your way to the Titanic Experience.

Yep - its a big fish. Blue and by the waters edge. A selfie momento, but not a lot else. If its on your way to other places then fair enough but not worthy of a detour in my opinion.

Only in Belfast... The "salmon of knowledge" (otherwise known as the big fish) commemorates the return of salmon to the River Lagan following its extensive clean-up as part of the area's regeneration. It's a big fish, and a nice photo-op.
