If you have an hour or so to spare it is very worth a visit. The walled graveyard is very atmospheric and the descriptions of the families on the tombstones is sometimes very moving.

Arranged with Belfast City Council for a largish group to visit this amazing little gem hidden away. This is probably the oldest Christian burial site in Northern Ireland and as a result the headstones are very old and the ground is uneven, but what a...More

Be certain to schedule a visit to this little cemetery. The story it tells of the history of Belfast and indeed Northern Ireland is incredible. A little peaceful oasis, too.

Like something out of a macabre horror movie complete with ancient slopping headstones, hawthorn trees and spooky atmosphere, Friar's Bush Graveyard is a perfect Tim Burton style dream. I had the chance to visit with a few friends for a guided lunchtime tour on Tuesday...More

My wife and I did the Halloween Tour of the Friars Bush. Spooky at night, especially when you know that this was where lots of cholera victims were laid to rest. Also the inventor of Belfast Bap Barney Hughes rests here.
