Beautiful but needs some restoration especially on the top of the dishes. Loved the simplicity of the stone and design

By Lutyens, in the same simple, elegant style he used for the Cenotaph on the Mall in London, where the Armistice is remembered each year in November. This fountain, which needs some looking after, commemorates the war and the king at that time. We saw...More

London and the area have more monuments and statues than anywhere else that I've ever been. I found this one somewhat plain and uninteresting. It only took a few minutes to look at.

Just perfect unassuming piece of Lutyens neither grand nor portentous but a memorial to an old gentleman who had been a safe pair of hands.

Plain memorial that has a small enclosed garden area and is in between the railway station and Windsor Castle. It is located close to lots of busy traffic however once inside this area the noise seems to fade away. Like others have said many miss...More

It might be on the busiest junction in Windsor but it always feels peaceful when you sit down here. Nice flowers too. Hidden gem

It was a little 'lack-lustre' considering all the other monuments in the area. There was a plaque, no bust or figure of King George. Just the plaque and the fountain which wasn't really anything special after the grandeur of the other memorials around Windsor; and...More

Many people miss this as they hurry from the station to the castle. Worth a quick look, the garden area around it are usually beautifully planted.

This is a simple monument sculptured by Lutyens near the Windsor Eton Bridge. I don't find it spectacular but graceful in its simplicity. Lots of good restaurants in the vicinity. Worth a photostop.

Unfortunately this memorial by Lutyens looks very unimpressive because of where it is located. It is in the shade of large trees at one of the busiest and most dangerous road junctions in Windsor. Also it seems to need some renovation work.
