Windsor is a must visit for anyone visiting or indeed for Berkshire locals. There is simply so much history and the Irish Guards are a major part of that history.

As an ex Irish Guardsman, it was great to see this statue standing proudly in the town, where the regiment is so highly thought of. Great workmanship from the sculptor. A great honour for those Micks past- present- and future.

Although this statue commemorates the servce of the Irish Guards in recent conflicts, it could represent so many other British soldiers who served in these wars. It has plenty of detail showing the equipment front-line soldiers need to wear when in combat. Being located near...More

This guard is close to one of the gates to the castle and also the blue letter box that commemorates the first air mail.

This statue is located at the rear entrance to Windsor Castle and is easy to miss. It is not grand but is beautifully designed and crafted.

I was here on a tour. It's a statue. I didn't find it all that interesting. I am not aware of the history behind it. But it only takes two minutes to look at it.

A life size statue with some significant history with it. Located on the walk to the Great Park. Not much to see.

Military statue with very good details that was unveiled in 2011 and is located in Windsor town centre. This was designed by a former paratrooper called Mark Jackson.

This is a decently made military statue in public view. It would be of interest to those in the military. It was created by Mark Jackson, a former paratrooper, and unveiled in 2011.

Impressive piece of art created by a former paratrooper Mark Jackson, who studied art in Florence, Italy, after his career was cut short by a serious accident. One of the modern sculptures that remind about the soldiers, who serve to the country.
