Bit of a walk from the caravan park at the top of the hill in Coombe Bissett (nearest place to park) but fairly flat - track can be muddy. The Yews are surrounded by deciduous trees so find a path between them into the Yews...More

Food was cold, unhelpful management and you could I fortunately smell the bleach coming from the toilets

Great Yews is private woodlands part of Longford Estate. It is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest as some of the yew trees are over 1,000 years old. You will need permission to visit these woods.

Such a beautiful place, spent most of my childhood here. The trees are incredible and majestic. Leaves a lasting impression.
