Having been crammed into a shuttle bus in order to reach Stonehenge, we opted to walk back along the public footpath. It is a delightful walk of just over a mile across the Downs with some marvellous views. This was much more enjoyable than the...More

We walked from Woodhenge to Stonehenge. Free parking at Woodhenge. You get to walk up the avenue and see Stonehenge appear. A great walk and you get nearly as close to the stones as those who'd paid. Also get great views of surrounding barrows and...More

Stonehenge is mesmerising an amazing piece of Bronze Age masonry . The visitor centre was packed and coffee shop does not have alternate milk products.

I have always been fascinated by Stonehenge and its history. To finally get to see it up close and personal was wonderful. The great stones evoke such power and mystery

A very good place to experience quite long wait outside for the bus to take inside. The view is just mind blowing.

Walk will take you to Stonehenge, the path is set a little bit further back from the Stonehenge visitors path, however still a great experience. Please note that the paying customers are closer to the stones.

Many thanks to the reviewers that mentioned the public footpath. Even if we had paid I doubt we would have taken the bus. The walk for us improved the experience as one gets to see the stones in the distance and get closer and closer....More

Stonehenge is awesome. A beautiful area to walk around, with a great deal of history. A small museum, that explains a lot about Stonehenge. Walking paths that enable you to get great views of the area. You can't get up close and personal with the...More
