What a great place to visit if you want a short hours to spend with your kids. Not to mention the nearby park itself which is Roundhay Park.

It's a cheap day out with the kids. Used to be free but now they have a small charge. Plenty of different animals to see. Being a reptile keeper myself I'm not always pleased with the husbandry of their reptiles. The kids enjoy it here....More

Thoroughly enjoyed tropical world, kids liked it too but they were too keen to get through I think because if the heat and the temptation of a maze outside. Would go again when kids are a little older

Good time had by all. We have a toddler who wants to get everywhere! They had a good time but you have to keep a careful eye where they put their hands! Good facilities, good variety of animals and good information!

All of the tropical house is inside and the enclosures are very warm so even if its horrible outside I wouldn't wear to many layers.

Sorry for the delay in answering. Many of the flying birds, butterflies etc are free to fly around. Some of the bigger species are in cages/tanks.
