I love it here, every year or so I'll visit for an afternoon. The museum is always very interesting, and there's so much to read. Well kept, and well laid out.

A fabulous looking grade II Listed building on the outskirts of Leeds - this is a medical museum adjacent to St James's University Hospital. Not for the faint hearted it covers many interactive areas including slum streets; surgery before anaesthesia; child birth; amputation; the lifezone...More

I'll start off by saying that this is not a place I would suggest taking your young children if they have a tendancy to become scared by things. My main reason for this is that the first area you enter once you have paid the...More

Interesting place if your kids are older but very poor for toddlers. Not much interaction for kids and a definite no no outside of school holidays nothing going on.

I absolutely love the hands on, creative kids events you do here. My daughter loved the frankenstein event. We also attended a blood and scabs workshop a while ago that was just as good.

Was expecting the usual expensive ticket prices and small museum (think Jorvik Centre) however was really surprised. 2 floors of artifacts. Lots for the little ones and interesting for the adults. Cafe was ok too. Would recommend for a day out. Parking was reasonable too.

The place was stunning from beginning til the end. I specially loved the first part where you could walk through the street replica and see the conditions in which an average worker lived in. I remember someone mentioning the smell of the street and not...More

We spent an afternoon here with our 8-year-old daughter and had a great time. You do need at least two hours to wander round. The recreation of early 19th Century conditions is very well done, and actually quite moving. The whole thing makes you grateful...More

We're open seven days a week from 10am-5pm and we would recommend at least 3 hours. We have a café on site serving lunches and snacks as well
