This is a nice little mature wood with mixed foliage. However it seems to have a continuous stream of dogs off the lead. Add to that the noisy dog owners, cyclists, horses and runners the likelyhood of seeing any of the obviously (from the calls...More

The marsh is a great alternative to golden acre and has Paul's pond at the back of it that is an excellent place for the dog to swim that isn't full of ducks and bird watchers! Only downside is that the bins for dog mess...More

we went here by accident instead of going to golden acre! lol , but we still had a lovely walk unfortunately it started to rain when we eventually found golden acre at the other side of the bridge so we left that for another day!...More

This is a walk that is probably suitable for most able bodied people.It can be boggy (obviously) in parts,so wear appropriate footwear.Much quieter than the main part of Golden Acre.

This is the birth place of Adel Beck which rises just down from Cookridge Hall. The water flows into 'Breary Marsh' and to Paul's Pond - the first Dam / fishpond in those woods. The Roman Road came by and parts can still be seen....More
