Well this was very enjoyable, but again guides fail to understand the important events that have happened in these beautiful and historic houses. But on the whole excellent, very enjoyable.

My first visit to this local attraction. It's included in Historic Houses membership and has fairly limited opening hours. Glad I finally made it. All visits are lead by a tour guide. The Dukedom was awarded to the youngest illegitimate son of Charles ll, so...More

I was treated to a voucher for afternoon tea at Goodwood House and I was not sure what to expect as I'm not generally a fan of such things. Curly sandwiches and dry scones is what I have had from other places. Goodwood House however...More

Booked the joint ticket for a house tour and afternoon tea, which is the best value at £25pp. Overall, thought it was very good value. The afternoon tea was really very good and served in the former ballroom - a lovely palatial setting for it....More

We booked a guided tour which lasts about 75 minutes and though you only see a fraction of the house i.e. the State Apartments and the Old House, the history of the building and the family is fascinating. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Unlike some...More
