Two fab theatres in a single location - most productions are excellent - just as good as London theatres at a fraction of the price! What most theatre goers fail to comment upon is the state of the loos - CFT offers outstanding toilets. The...More

Always enjoy a visit to this theatre. It’s clean, spacious and the seats are comfortable, plenty of leg room and one has a good view of the stage, wherever one sits. We saw The Messiah, it took a bit of getting into, but I enjoyed...More

Have seen a few shows here. Great venue. Large but still feels intimate. Needs more bars though - interval drinks are a nightmare.

I’m astounded by the negative reviews for The Messiah - headed by ‪Hugh Dennis, John Marquez and Lesley Garrett providing the big voice and ‘wings’. ‬ It was pure Monty Python! We laughed until we cried, from start to finish. While I accept that everyone...More

The Messiah was total drivel. There were some slightly amusing parts in the first act but the second act - oh dear it was totally cringeworthy. Someone said the Messiah was going to the West End - well all I can say is it wont...More

The Messiah. If you get a chance to see it - do not go. Total rubbish. On the level of a poor school pantomime. Great if you are a devoted parent who wants to see little Johnny being the virgin Mary by putting a tea-towel...More

Theatre well laid out and very comfortable. Saw the first half of the messiah - utter rubbish. If the second half was funnier, it wouldn’t have been difficult! Appeared to have been written by a couple of 5th formers.

Love the theatre but was really disappointed with ‘The Messiah’, billed as funny but not worth seeing. Felt sorry for the performers as they struggled through.

Went to see Messiah and fell asleep, like a few around me. Who was responsible for using talented actors in this rubbish.

In the "off season" the CFT imports shows from elsewhere. Some are good and some are sadly average. The Messiah looked good on paper but failed to deliver the promised mirth and seemed very dated. So don't expect the same high standards as those in...More

It's in the round so should be OK although the centre is always better.

HI yes, there is a stage door, but as to meeting cast members I am unsure. We have seen a few as they leave or meet family and friends in the foyer. Sorry not a great deal of help. Have fun when you visit.

There are lifts after a recent refurbishment. Not easy to find so ask staff who are very helpful.
