It is a beautiful spacious cathedral that was pleasingly austere and not as ornate as most Roman Catholic churches.

As is the case with many interesting ancient structures, there is a fairly significant covering of scaffolding on the outside. If you are walking this part of the town, it's worth a peek inside, but probably not a special trip.

Almost gothic in appearance but as you enter the town from the station the view of the cathedral along with the magnificent castle which both sit on top of hills is stunning.

I am afraid you can't have dogs in the castle but there are lovely grounds around the castle where you can take them
