Allesley Park sits in an elevated position on the west side of Coventry. It is accessed by car from Allesley Old Road, turning left into Allesley Hall Drive. The number 23 bus terminus is close to a pedestrian entrance.
The park has a number of tarmac footpaths criss-crossing from the lower to higher levels and around the perimeter. popular with dog walkers, joggers etc. There are numerous seats to admire the views from.
There are lovely mature trees with plenty of grassed open areas for ball games, including football goalposts, and a basketball practice area.
There are 2 ponds, and a beautiful walled garden, where you can sometimes purchase produce grown there in season.
The modern fenced children's play area is close to the staffed golf office where you can buy/hire equipment for the 9 hole crazy and18 hole golf course.
After snowfall, the sloped golf course is popular with sledgers and snowboarders.
There are toilet facilities and a visiting ice cream van, but sadly no cafe.
Recommended for all ages.

A nice yet simple park, Great for a little exercise, walk the dog or have a kick about. Watch out for the fairies though....!

Great park on the outskirts of the city. Easy to park. Large and well maintained. Kids seemed to be enjoying themselves on my visit.

Allesley is a decent park but depending on what you’re after there’s better alternatives in the area.
The play area is fairly run down although still usable. It also gets quite busy, especially when the weather is good.
Walking around the park takes about half an hour. There’s not a great deal to see apart from a few fields, most of which are left fairly natural and overgrown. Compared to the play area the walk around the park is fairly quiet as there’s not a lot of people here for the walk.
There is a decent sized car park here which is free.

Lovely park on the far Western Edge of Coventry. I used to walk around here when i used to live nearby.
Well maintained park with good quality well maintained children's play equipment.
Only wish it wasn't so cold in February - a little bracing early morning to say the least!!!

allesley park is good but it annoys me when people are going to the toilet in the play area as the toilets are pretty disgusting.the park good but there are a lot of people who are hanging around looking a little suspicious.

The park once belonged to the big house (now a nursing home) and covers many acres. Much of it is just mown grass but there is an emphasis on habitat for wildlife with areas left untouched or suitably managed (includes the pitch & putt next door). There is something for everyone: Victorian walled garden, open grassland, sports areas, woods, meadow, golf &crazy golf, lilly pond with breeding birds and a first class, large childrens' playground. Just across a footbridge (over a dual carriageway) is ancient Allesley village with its Norman church, medieval buildings and a pub with its own brewery! It can be enjoyed by all age groups.

This is a nicely laid out park and it's a pleasant place to have a stroll. It's rarely as busy as the other parks in Coventry so worth seeking out.
