We travelled from New Street. Unfortunately no time to enjoy the facilities but lots of food outlets and great access to the shops.

We're finally getting the hang of the new layout a great improvement. And it is always a treat to visit the city.

Changing trains at most stations is reasonably straightforward. It's mostly up, across and down. Not at New Street though. 1. Up ...to a confusing mix of Departure Boards, Exit Gates and a Shopping Centre. Even for a seasoned traveller this was confusing. 2. Across....Lots of...More

I remember New Street as a dull and dismal hole, so it was great to see the improved version. There is not much change down on the platforms, but up above, it is light, bright and pleasant. There are lots of eating places and shops....More

My husband and I were amazed with the grandness of this station. Very friendly and helpful service. We quickly got the hang of things and enjoyed our stay because of it.
