I frequently need to change trains here and every time it is a frustrating and stressful experience. There are very few departure boards which necessitates a walk along the length of the main walkway trailing luggage. Meeting someone there this weekend I was unable to...More

Left an item on the train. Wasted 2-3 hours following the process, the calls simply route you in a circle and then tell you to download the buggy app to register your item. Basically, if you lose an item, don't think about trying to retrieve...More

Every aspect of Grand Central is excellent. The only criticism is platform 12 because when the cross country diesel train is on 11, it sits there for quite a while with its engine running filling 12 with coughing fumes.

The moral of the story at this station is don’t believe their delayed notices, our train showed no time for departure, Trainline had an estimated time of a 20 minute delay, yet it left, without us, 2 minutes late. We thought we had plenty of...More

Trips to Birmingham now include a visit to grand central. Huge selection of places to eat and drink, CAFÉ Concerto being our favourite.

First time through New Street since the renovations were completed. What a difference, it's entered the 21st century. No more dingy smelly corners, good security presence and plentiful shopping.

It's got good signage so decide before hand where you want to meet and head for it ie New street exit . Plenty of coffee shops just outside . Nice station !

It all depends on how long you have and how much luggage you have to trundle around - even though a lot is now pedestrianized. The Bull Ring and the shops are close by but if you have time go up towards the Town Hall... More
