I visited Brown Lion with friends at the end of 2016 run under Mr Elliott. It was good but had lost it’s soul. New cushions and a lick of paint couldn’t paint over an owner so out of touch with his local clientele. Self-indulgent music...More

It now has been refurbished, toilets improved and now has an interesting simple menu. What makes this Pub great will be the Monday night music session give it a go.

I recently went for a drink with a friend and I am delighted with the experience. The staff is really nice and they take good care of you. The pub reopened a few months ago and the decoration is ace. 100% recommendable.

Great little bar staff were friendly we didn't eat but the menu looked appetising drinks were reasonably priced, everywhere was spotless and well presented

Spent a relaxed afternoon here in April with some friends. We played darts, badly. Drinks and service were good, prices reasonable. Have popped in on an open mic / jam night and it was a nice atmosphere then too. The pub is small and friendly....More
