Fabulous pub with an excellent range of real ales at good prices. Friendly and helpful barman. Slightly off the beaten track but worth seeking out if you like a proper pub.

We came across The Craven Arms, whilst following a city centre walks guide. What a find! Plenty real ales, Spotlessly clean, and inviting. What I cant understand is why it isn't in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, it definitely deserves a mention.

Ah....the rule is that no pub where the licensees have changed within the previous twelve months can feature in the GBG.....next year we are confident we will be back in!

Excellent ale, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Came across it on a short stay in Birmingham. After scouring the area for a proper pub with three friends on the afternoon and returned with our wives in the evening. Fine time had there.

This is an excellent, traditional pub. A short walk from the city centre is well worthwhile with a good mix of largely local ales. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
