This is one of those "out there" galleries, and it's a bit too arty for my taste. There are quite a few areas so if you are into modern stuff, it's worth checking out. Of course it's also free. The highlight is the lift a...More

I always visit the gallery when I am in Birmingham. There's no permanent collection but temporary exhibitions are always interesting. The cafe is nice and there're many restaurants in the area. It's free and I recommend it.

Waste of time. Tin foil taped to the wall. Looked like someone had just emptied out their junk drawer and called it art. It is a lovely old building though and has a decent cafe attached

The exhibitions here are more cutting edge than you'll find at the City Art Gallery, and all the more attractive for it. The eatery is also a really good place to relax overlooking Oozles Square.

Beautiful building and very interesting design, when I went there was a very modern art exhibition showing, which I struggled to understand, but would certainly go back again to see other exhibits.

Innovative, welcoming and inclusive. A great space, most of which was wheelchair accessible. There was a video that was running in the one inaccessible area but a proactive and helpful gallery attendant offered to show it to us in the resource space. Ikon is an...More
