Containing a good variety of exhibits and art work this gallery is housed and a lovely Victorian (?) building. There are plenty of interesting exhibits but it is not overwhelming.

Good place with free entry. The shop is also good with some nice stuff worth buying. The tea house was particularly ambient and buzzing with people. Worth spending an hour.

Went specifically to view the Staffordshire Hoarde collection. Very well presented. The information about the exhibits was very educational.

Lots to see for all interests but too much for one visit. Staff helpful and in easy reach of city centre.

The BMAG is a must visit for anyone looking for things to do in Birmingham. My most recent visit was in February 2018 to see the exhibition on cultural identity, and the British empire and it was utterly fascinating. Everything, as far as they are...More

I was most impressed with the exhibition on Birmingham’s history from prehistoric to medieval and relatively modern times. The Staffordshire Hoard exhibition as well as the historical summary of the Anglo-Saxon period (and how old English sounded!) is particularly fascinating. The classical lobby with the...More

No display of natural history sort of display. May not be appealing to the younger mind but I notice there is a colourful corner leading to the cafeteria.
