Love this little theatre and have seen some great plays, last one being Hay Fever which was slow to warm up but got funnier. Very cramped seats. Ticket prices are good though.

Hay Fever (Noel Coward) was excellent: well-acted and very funny in places. This is a little gem of a theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon; intimate, friendly, good acting. Better to sit at the front than the back as warm air rises and it gets pretty hot in...More

Brilliant cast and direction, fantastic play, overall a very amusing, brilliantly well put together evening. Would definitely recommend the Bear Pit for other performances and future plays.

Brilliant studio theatre. A great alternative to the other famous theatre by the river if you fancy seeing something alternative to Shakespeare. Saw the 39 Steps the other week and was simply blown away by the standard of the acting, the innovative set design and...More

If Shakespeare is just too long or expensive but you want a genuine theatre experience in Stratford-upon-Avon try the Bear Pit Theatre. I'm a local, not connected to the theatre, and try to go to every performance. They are all fun, superbly acted, despite being...More
