We only had ten minutes to spend here so the £6 pp concession entry was not good value for money for us except that we thought that being in the virtually unchanged school room where Shakespeare was taught was totally awesome. We avoided making eye...More

I was on a tour and this was one of the stops. This building is where Shakespeare received his schooling until he stopped to go into the glove business with his father. The experience starts with a very interesting video that talks about the history...More

A brilliant experience, talks by different people as you move through the rooms. One of the classrooms (set out as it was) has the School Master taking the lesson, along with the birch; watch out. You also get to practice your writing with quill pens.

Actors bring to life the classroom in Shakespeare's time. Very entertaining and informative. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly explaining the recently uncovered features in the school. A worthwhile visit.

Really worth visiting and different from other Shakespeare attractions in town . Very good presentation by volunteers and actors brought it alive, and it's very exciting seeing the schoolroom and the pre-reformation painting.
