The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

This theatre has a wonderful space which is cozy and great for interaction with the play. Would highly recommend seeing a play here while visiting Stratford, and would see another play here myself.

This is my second visit to this wonderful theatre (the first being Dracula a year or so ago) both times have been wonderful. I would urge if you can to visit the run of the two person play "Moveable Props" which was a heartfelt and...More

A great play but not for the traditionalist. I loved it laughed so much. Lovely simple small attic theatre. Note take a coat or cushion to sit on if cannot cope with wooden seats. Well worth watching a play here. Great actors/actresses.

We saw Richard 111 and Midsummer Night's Dream at this small but lovely Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed both performances. The cast from Tread the Boards were brilliant in both performances and the intimate setting made you feel you were involved in the drama.

Thoroughly enjoyed the performance of a Midsummer Night's Dream. Hilarious and quite surreal. The cast were brilliant and the setting intimate which really drew you in. Would recommend and return to see any production this group staged if in Stratford again.

I could write reams about this small, but perfectly formed, theatre space and the innovative Tread the Boards Company, that does indeed Tread its Boards, but it would be simpler, and far more enjoyable if everyone just visited and saw for themselves. Then you'd agree...More

We saw a midsummer nights dream and whilst not being a huge fan of classical theatre, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was great to be feet away from the performers and the play itself had me laughing out loud.

Hi Shaun, we are running two plays side by side at the moment so on Saturday 16th at 2:30 pm we have Bronte and at 7:30 pm we have Wuthering Heights. Hope one, or both of these appeals to you/your group.
