Cox's Yard is a must-visit destination in Stratford-upon-Avon. Set around a converted timber yard on the River Avon waterfront it hosts a family pub, English Tea Shop and Continental Coffee Shop. You'll find it at the end of the Tramway Bridge between the Butterfly Farm and the Bancroft Gardens. Cox's Yard is world famous for its live entertainment which ranges from strolling players via nights of live standup comedy, travelling Theatre and Burlesque to heritage rock bands and top tribute acts. Artists display their wares at the height of summer. In short, there's always a reason to pop in.

The restaurant is very confusing. The sign that says wait to be seated is outside the bar, instead of just before the dining area. The manager sat us down very quickly despite the fact that it was really busy so that's a plus, however, the...More

This review is based on the Yard rather than the pub of same name on the site (which was closed). The area was strewn with rubbish and discarded building materials and looked derelict and deserted. No sign anything was going on and one assumes (hopes)...More

Went yesterday as we had friends visiting, the menu was very poor from a choice perspective and what was on there was way over priced. The quality was terrible. We live in such a wonderful town, and this place must have the most sought after...More
