Yes this is a historic building but it’s main function is to keep people moving which it does in a normal matter-of-fact way. However one of the great features for us as international travelers was that there is an Alamo/Enterprise Car Rental Office located in...More

Beautifully restored Victorian railway station, very user friendly, but why oh why does the portico now house a couple of automated ticket machines and a bunch of empty retail kiosks? The drop off area is now a nightmare and the taxi stand is open to...More

I know there are many beautiful old buildings housing many of our railway stations throughout the country.Well this is one of them. Apart from that, it's just a regular station. Nothing remarkable.

A very clean station. Well sign posted from all over town. Great range of refreshment outlets. Lots of seating on the platforms. Helpful staff.

We traveled with elderly relatives at 86yrs and 91 yrs of age. The train and platform staff were helpful and friendly. We always were able to find seats for our elderly relatives. The toilets were a bit of a walk but manageable

Good display boards and there are various shops on the concourse, variety of bus stops outside for getting around and not far from the centre of Newcastle

Newcastle Central Railway station retains much of its Victorian style. The saddest part about the station is that in its construction so much of that section of old Newcastle was destroyed (as was much of the castle just along the way). Newer elements include access...More

Got a great welcome on the opening day for the Great Exhibition of the North. I enjoyed spinning the wheel of fortune. Everyone a winner! The station was clean with coffee shops, pub and newsagents. Not many staff to ask questions, thankfully everything went smoothly.
