Tucked away under a railway arch right in the city centre - although you wouldn't know it - you will find Newcastle's original Micropub. Quirky seating, great beers, lovely staff and locals, and thats before we start on the drinks! There is always a good...More

Hi Mary-Ane, thanks very much for taking the time to submit this great review and rating, it is very rewarding for a small business like ours to get such great feedback and a real boost for the hard working staff. Best wishes, Mark.

We'd been to the split chimp once years ago and always remembered it. Coming back we can see why - it's a cool little place, nestled within a railway arch. There is a wide selection of drinks, and friendly knowledgeable service!
Called in for a quick pint on our way home after a day down the ouseburn, nice real ale shame about the coffee the wife had, cold and tasteless. That said would recommend as it has something about the place that is quirky.More

Visited the split chimp before the match on Saturday and didn’t disappoint. Quite busy but got served quickly, opting for a pint of the peanut butter stout (orgasmic I must say). Good vibe in the place with friendly people out for a good time. Love...More
