The great feature about this bar is the options on many different bottles! there is almost one from each country here, so if you have that tricky friend who likes to try a new drink then this is either the best or worst bar for them>!

I went during the day on a Saturday and it was very quiet which was ideal. Very cool decor and relaxed atmosphere. We tried Spanish tapas which was a little on the expensive side but nice all the same.

Came for pub quiz on Tuesday in a group and had tea. As we were quite hungry we decided to get burgers - I decided on the beef with cheese. Burger was pink in the middle (how I like it) and nice and moist. Upgraded to sweet potato fries which were nicely cooked. We had a voucher but if we didn't have we would have got 2 for £14.99 which they do mid week until 8pm. Nice pub, nice size with the fire on as it was cold outside with a good varied drinks selection. Would recommend.

Barca is such a great pub. Really nice atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. We called in on Sunday 4th November for a lunch and as usual, it was fantastic. This is the fourth time we have been for a Sunday lunch and we have never been disappointed. We’ve eaten all over at various pubs in and around Newcastle, but can honestly say that the Sunday roast at Barca is definitely the best!

I arranged to meet an old friend for lunch while I was in the area. Quite old fashioned in terms of the dining area, food was nice enough but not amazing, seems to attract a very much older crowd. Shame, it could be a real destination place with some thought and investment

Great pub with wide selection of beers, decent pub grub and very friendly staff. Not the cheapest but I suspect that's not by accident to discourage a certain type of punter

Barca is a little oasis on the High Street. One of the smaller pubs, the beer range is extensive and the food is excellent - always freshly prepared and the Tapas are excellent, as is the Sunday Lunch.
