Staff are helpful, atmosphere scholarly and quiet, free lockers, opening hours are rather restrictive(10am to 4pm, Tues to Friday, I think, no use if you want to do research in the evening), some of the microfiche readers antiquated and some of the microfiches really poor...More

Good place to research family tree. Always someone ( usually volunteers) available to help when you got stuck. Loads of records available to view.Must reserve a viewer and/or computer if needed

Great place to visit was a mini hay on wye all sorts of reading archive. You could easily pend the day ere just absorbing the fantastic literature. Highly recommended
