Plenty of things to see and do for kids. Interesting exhibition on working life in Newcastle but not quite what we were looking for. We were hoping for more about the mining community but Beamish Museum near Durham is better for that
The Rocket was there but there was little interest from my very young grandsons. Difficult to get onto the interactive stuff as older kids hog them. Some exhibits need updating. Massive queues for the cafeteria and prices are high.
