I hate cable cars but I love the views when you get there. Could be seen as expensive but we had a terrific day on the mountain in the hot sunshine.

Don't think you will have an issue in Augusr, just rocking up on the day. Would check the weather forecast, Scotland can be awesome but it can also be a little grim even in the summer.

Check the Nevis Range website for the weather report. The gondolas and skiing are weather dependent.
