Proper pub out of the centre, staff and local were friendly to me as a visitor, excellent beers, wish there were more pubs like this near me. This is what a pub should be

A lovely traditional style pub with a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Dog friendly. A good choice of real ale. Knowledgeable bar staff who always have time to chat.

Love this place. Always at least 8 real ales on, real cider, no lager, pork scratchings (some so large you ca recognise body parts), pies cracking staff, no music, great company and best of all, Old Rog!

A tradition pub which is hard to find these days. Welcoming and friendly bar staff. Excellent value at under £3 a pint. Local brews well kept. Will be back!

If you like a pub with no food, no music, no pool, no darts, but a vast selection of real ales, this place is a must

Pros: Good selection of well-kept beers, no music. Cons: Shabby decor, honking washroom facilities, general air of squalor. Racist, sexist and awkward landlord. Entertainment prospects: Try pushing your way to the bar through the assembled sullen regulars. Summary: The pub where nobody laughs. Might enjoy...More
