St Mary's is the parish church for Bury St Edmunds and it is not difficult to see why. The stained glass is magnificent, especially the west window and the ceiling has a series of carved, life-sized angels. This is as impressive as the cathedral itself.

This church is the third largest in the UK. It has an impressive display of satined glass windows and magnificent carvings of angels on the roof. Has a full choir and decent organ. It is the civic church of the town.
