Lime kilns, steam trains, canal boats and a decent pint of real ale in a traditional country pub, Take all of this and add a splash of the most beautiful countrtyside anyone could wish for and you have bliss!

In awe of this place - absolutely beautiful, gorgeous scenery, amazing history with the lime works. Will definitely visit again next time I am in the area.

This is well worth a visit, whether by canal boat or otherwise. There is a good pub here as well, but of interest is teh obvious canal side scenery, and the abandoned lime forges.

The gardens is a great venue for weddings, with spectacular views and plenty of interesting places to see spectacular views from various spots from the garden walks.

A bit off the beaten track, down a narrow road, but well worth the extra effort to find. The gardens are wonderful with well planted borders, a variety of walks taking you around the gardens, through the wood and around the lakes. Plenty of places...More
