We stopped to visit the play area next door and played pooh sticks over the ancient bridge. The kids thought it was great fun. It is worth h going down to visit although a walk which would stumble across it would be more appealing.

The bridge is a short walk from the High Street and is very pretty. In April there had been a lot of rain so the water lever was high and running fast. Great place to play Pooh sticks.

This is a lovely old clapper bridge crossing the river Avill. The river is shallow and reasonably wide and a great safe spot for a kiddy paddle.

Lovely area, shallow water means it is safe for children to play in,dogs also love to run through. From here you can walk back to the Castle or the watermill. Natural and peaceful.

You are best parking and find signs for the watermill, as the the bridge is a 30 second walk away
