My trip to Cheddar was disappointing as the whole area was spoilt by the tourism for what is a natural geographical feature. However, buying Cheddar cheese in Cheddar from a Cheddar cheese producer was cool and I was happy to try the different cheese before...More

£2 entry which lasts all day sounds like a bargain, but to be honest it's not the best. £2 gets you into a small museum where you can see cheese be made but as the process takes all day you don't see too much unless...More

We visited early in April 2017 - had a great day out in the village and in the gorge itself. We bought cheeses as a gift for the various family members - all said it was lovely cheese.

The shop itself is very good with a wide variety of cheeses, but I most enjoyed watching the cheese being made. The £2 ticket lasts all day so you can see one stage in the morning and then pop back to see another stage later...More

Don't buy cheese from this place, it's perhaps the poorest quality Cheddar I have ever experienced. Go to your local supermarket.

With so many to choose from and unlimited tastings available, how difficult is it to choose which ones to purchase? They are all such good quality and delicious flavours - it's just a cheese lovers haven, Would definitely recommend.

Visited during a brief trip/drive through the Cheddar Gorge in July 2016. Friendly, inviting shop selling a range of local cheeses, ciders and other local goods/produce. We could sample some of the cheese and cider before buying. We could have easily bought similar products from...More
