Those TA reviews which referred to the diversion can now be discounted as the work has now finished. Hurrah! Lovely food and drink at the Thatchers Cider place (Railway Inn) at Sandford.

Whilst staying in Wells we decided to walk some of the Strawberry Line having read reviews on Tripadvisor. We caught a bus to Winscombe, 'picked up' the Strawberry Line there, walked to Axbridge (diversions are easy to follow), where we stopped for refreshments. We carried...More

I have walked sections of the strawberry line on a number of occasions. My favourite walk is from Yatton to Axbridge. Lovely walk, mostly on the flat. You do have to cross a main road to get to Axbridge, but well worth it, Axbridge has...More

Have done this a few times from Axbridge to Yatton and apart from a small section in Sandford it is all off road (plus a road to cross at congresbury - which has traffic lights). Plenty of places to stop along the way and enjoy...More

Not an easy route at the moment due to works diverting the route. But still some very nice views of the countryside & meeting people along the way. Have done bits of it before the current diversions much nicer.

Tried to cycle the Strawberry Line today but in addition to the simple well signed diversion between Cheddar and Axebridge there is a major diversion for water works by Bristol Water between Axebridge and Winscombe. This uses a rough footpath up to Winsome Hill. It...More

Went for a walk along the Strawberry Line today from Cheddar to Axbridge. Part of it was closed but the diversion was well sign posted and easy to follow. It is a bit odd that there are some benches along the route which just point...More

While there are sections of the route open in Wells it currently does not connect through to Cheddar and Yatton. You can join a small part of it at Haybridge.
