I have been waiting for ages to do this tour of the original Georgian Theatre in Bath, and was not disappointed when I finally made it today. The theatre aspect was fascinating, but even more interesting was the subsequent history of the building. From Catholic...More

A tour of a very old theatre that is now used as a Masonic Hall by Freemasons in Bath. This will be of much interest to both Masons and non Masons alike. My wife and I turned up outside the entrance just before 2.30 and...More

I happened upon this fabulous museum and tour tucked away in a back street and spent a fabulous hour and a half learning about the original Theatre Royal - before the "Royal" patronage was given - and about The Masonic Lodge. The tour guide was...More

Do not miss this guided tour. Such a wonderful, informative guide and what a marvellous collection of masonic artefacts. The Theatre is tucked away down a side street and pure magic inside.

As a Freemason, I am very interested in seeing this place, but unfortunately it never seems to be open. Over 7 years I have not been able to get inside for various reasons. Come on Bath, one of your great sites, make it more accessible.

We discovered this by chance and were delighted with the tour. The guide was helpful and informative and covered the whole range of uses of the building, from a theatre to a church and on to a Masonic Hall. Well worth a visit.
