Alongside the excellent Joules ales the food here is brilliant and well priced. I had tequila soaked chorizo balls, spicy chicken wings and fries. ( I was hungry!) food was well presented and tasted fantastic. Well worth a visit.

Great pub and great beers. George who runs the pub is a genuinely nice guy and both myself and my partner wish him all the best and hope he stays at the Dolphin for a long time.

Local brewery, 4 ales on tap, fabulous old pub, this is what it is about folks. Forget your chain pubs and the like, the Dolphin is what pubs are supposed to be.

They've got some amazing new top shelf spirits as well as the usual lovely ale, what's really great is the new bar menu! 3 small plates for £10 and the calamari is so tasty!

Went specifically to listen to "Two Blank Pages" who were doing a gig there. Had never been to the pub before but it was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely go again.

We have visited The Dolphin on many occasions... but always because there has been a music-related event going on; either intimate gigs or open mics. It's not quite our local, but we wish it was. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting...More

This is one of my favourite pubs ever. There is an amazing selection of beers and they always have a fire going when it's cold. There's a smoking area/deck out the back which catches the last summer sunshine of the day. Always have great music...More
