Stumbled across this superb little facility while touring - by car - round the Long Mynd and the Stiperstones. Run by a Community Interest Company, and housed in the former Victorian school of a one-time lead mining village, the visitor centre, standing at 1300 feet,...More

We stopped by for coffee and cake before walking on the nearby hills. This is a lovely little tea shop cafe with quality handmade items for sale. Well worth a visit.

This is a pleasant little place with some interesting information boards but in the main is a tea room with some good souvenir, card and book stalls around the side. I think run by volunteers . Great place to visit before or after a walk...More

This is not suitable for small children. The information part is thin and the stones outside are definitely not for playing on. The café is fine and friendly - but not worth going up there.

Located in a Victorian school house, the centre is on the site of a former lead mining village. The bog is long gone. You can eat your packed lunch here and buy locally made crafts.

A very welcome place to stop for tourists to the area where you can have a history lesson on what industries took place in the area. They supply you with coffees, teas and lovely homemade cakes all this is done by volunteers who make you...More
